Why TONE Exists

For decades, the global narrative about Africa has been shaped by broad, often simplistic strokes. While international interest in the continent's potential has increased, a persistent reductive lens remains — one that views Africa not as a constellation of 54 distinct, dynamic nations, but as a single, monolithic entity.

This perception masks the continent's true complexity. It obscures the diversity of its markets, the specificity of its opportunities, and the individual national stories that drive growth. It is within this gap — between perception and reality — that TONE was founded. TONE is a collaboration between The Voice Newspaper and EMH Global Ltd (Eagle London Agency), with its partner Africa agency Eagle Accra.
